’THE TENTH WONDER OF THE WORLD' (Part.3)
It is my primary duty to acknowledge and express my gratitude to all those who have assisted in the finalization of this introductory book. I must thank that anonymous and unknown friend who handed over me the xerox copy of the original scrept of Siribhuvalaya. He is the main cause for this effort; I once again thank him most heartily.
Besides helping me in sorting out the jumbled xerox copies, my close friend Sri H.M. Sad ananda has helped me by providing me a xerox copy of the original copy of Siribhuvalaya (by paying the required fee) obtained from theDelhi Archives. Sri M.K Shivappa gave ne a copy of the Siribhuvalaya Script obtained from the offoce-bearers of the Kunda Kunda Jnanapeetha, Indore, for my reference and stood by me in this venturw. I thank profusely my close friend, Sri M.R. yatirajulunaidu and his family for their continued financial suport in my literary activities.
The introductory books of many great Indian poets and their works hasfound a place at the international level. Unfortunately, Siribhuvalaya, a wonderful ancient work of poetry in numerics, was unknown to Kannadigas itself. It was, therfore, unthinkable to find a way to introduce this at the international level.The work of giving a proper introduction of this rare pice of work is really difficult. I had not even thought of giving expressiom to these feelings in English language! Sri Hariharapura Sridhara (of Vedasudhe blog) introducedmu to Sri Kavi Suresh of Shimoga who has gladly agreed tokake up this translation work. Sri Kavi Suresh is a descendant of the Keladi Kavi Family beginning with Kavi Linganna, the Coutr Poet of Keladi rulers and the author of 'Keladi Nrupa Vijaya' . He is quite proficient in both English and Kannada languages and has ably accomplished this difficult transletion work (Pl.see his blog WWW.keladikavimanetana.blogspot.com e-mail bsr_kavisuresh@yahoo.co.in). This translated version will definitely help ''Siribhuvalaya- the 10th Wonder of the World'' to find introduction and recognition at the national and internationay level. I an greateful to him for this effort.
'Siribhuvalayasaara' comtained the hidden literature and related matters pertaining to the I Khanda (chapters 1 to 33) . It is prpoosed to publish 'Siribhuvalasaara-2'' containing the original litrature with hidden litrature and related matters pertaining to the next 34th to 59th chaptors. Howeversorting out the improper xerox copies of the original material,forming the original litrature etc., itself took quit some time. Due to the several other commitments, it was not possible to complete task. For these reasons, only litrature from the 34 th ot 50 Chapters could be published. As decisively suggested by my wife, it was titled 'SiribhUvalayasaagara rathnamanjusha' (meaning: 'The trasury of gems discovered in the Ocean of siribhuvalaya'')

My wife has stood by me all these years in this danting task. Besides, holding the family front on the one side, she has patiently tolerated all my emotional outdrusts. Her persistent and sincere efforts in classifying the chain of letters in the hidden litrature are really prise- worth. In addition, she has taken upon herself the task of publishing avd has successfully accomplished it. I most profuswly thank one and all, whoare involed in this project-directly or indirectly. Preamble:
''Sarvabhaashamayebhasha Siribhuvalaya'' - a Kannada poetry in numerics authored by the ancient poet if Kammada language Kumudendu Muni, has the rare honour of being called the ''Tenth Wonder of the world''. this is the only poetry in Numerics in the entier world and it has tobe considered as an Encyclopedia of the world. The pre-titles: ''Sarvabhaashamayee'' (inclusive of all languages), ''Sarvashastramayee'' (inclusive of all scriptures) and ''Sarva jnanamayee'' (inclusive of all knowledge) explain the vastness and depth of this great ancioent work.
This contains about 16000 pages- these pages are indicated as 'Circles' (Chakra) This huge volume has been divided into 9 Khandas (Units). Each Unit has several Chapters. The first Unit, which is the nature of preamble to the entire volume, contains 59 Chapters and its transformation in letter-form was ready in 1953 itself. of this , only 33 Chaprers were printed and the rest remained in the manuscript form. Now the original literatur and thehidden literatur from the 34th to 50th Chapters have been piblished. the total volume of original Kannada verses in Siribhuvalaya is 600000. The hidden literatur of various other languagees arising from these words extended to 'hundred thousand lakh crore' verses (Slokas)! this rear and wonderful anceient work was unknown not only at the international and national litreary circles,but even in the Kannada litreary field itself!! After the publication of its first version in the letter-form about 60 years before,very recently a book giveng a brief introduction about this great pice of litreature has been published in Kannada !
The structure and format of this work, encompassing in it the essence of all the great literary works of the world, is inded very complex and intricate. This poetic style is indeed very new and strange to the Kannada literary field.Naturally it is harad to understand it properly. For these reasons, this great pice of litrature did not gain much publicity.
Strangely, the educational background of Sudharthy of Hassanm who has published this introductory book in Kannada, is very limited. But this litrary capabillites cannot be compared with the yard- stick of a University degree. tha only and invaluable yard- stick, however, is the scholarly and precious preface written in detail hy one of the greats of contemporary Kannada litreature field. Prof.G. Venkatasubbaiah to this introductory book in Kannada by Sudharthy. I Feel that those who involve themselves in selfless-service in the litrary field, this is the higest recognition one acn aspire for!
This is an effort to give brief and specific pitcyure of this great piece of ancient work in Kannada in the English language. this is an effort to introduce this to the entire literary circle of the world. It is hoped that this English version would venefit atleasr a few people who are serious about leading a benign life aimed at total emancipation of individul soul. If that happens, it is the greatest reward for the introducer and the English tranelator of Siribhuvalaya.

As per the information given by Kumudendu Muni, he is a Jain Brahmin belonging to Vrashabhasenanvaya Senagana, Saddharma Gotra, Dravyanga Branch, Jnatha Vamsha, Vrushabha Sutra, Ikshvaku lineage. These are his personal details before he became a Yati (Sanyasi). Karlamangalam Srikantaiah, based on the Kumudendu Shataka of Devappa, has indicated that Kumudendu Muni was a Deshigana-Nandisangha-Kundakundanvaya Vakgragacha Yati. Many scholars do not agree with this view! (ಮುಂದುವರೆಯುವುದು)
